Dave Holland

DAVE HOLLAND believes rhythm is a powerful metaphor for creating conscious connections, community awareness and individual creativity! Dave is the owner of Interactive Rhythm, an Atlanta based company that designs programs and resources for the professionals in the music making and business world.

Atlanta Drum CirclesDave is founder and primary performer and facilitator of all Beatin’ Path programs and drum circles. Dave spreads the message of community, teamwork, diversity, and environmental awareness through rhythm based events. Dave leads regular drum circles at regional area schools, public housing communities, health fairs and festivals. Former clients include the Chattohoochee Valley Library’s reading inititive program, Southeast Regional Hospice, Muscogee County School Administrators conference, Georgia’s Early Childhood Educator’s Conference, and the Southeast Regional Girl Scout Leadership convention. On stage, Dave is found in a number of musical settings, including world beat, jazz, orchestral and theatrical productions. Dave is the leading member of Ritmo Blu, a world percussion trio that performs at regional schools and festivals. Dave has traveled to Cuba, Africa, and Brazil to pursue his continuing education of the world’s cultures and drumming traditions.

Paul Vogler

Atlanta Percussionist

Paul has appeared on the bill with Ziggy MarleyThelonius Monk Jr., Dr. Billy TaylorThe New York Voices & others.

As a public educator of public and private schools (Baylor and McCallie schools of Chattanooga) and universities including UTC and Georgia Perimeter College. Paul lectured World Music, Percussion, Jazz Studies and Electronic Music and directed Jazz Band and Orchestra.

Paul’s company, Atlanta Event Music, has provided educational programming since 1995, receiving the 1997 Dorothy Mullen National Arts Award for “The Bessie Bus”, a mobile jazz and blues program. Atlanta Event Music also provided audio/video production/editing and inter-active exhibits including working with the National Afro-American Museum on the traveling exhibit “When the Spirit Moves” appearing at the Smithsonian Institution.

Currently, Paul maintains an active performance schedule with Atlanta Steel Pan and Island Music,  the Atlanta Jazz Trio, and 2nd Line Atlanta while continuing to teach private lessons.

PAUL VOGLER performs as solo percussionist on vibraphone, marimba & steel drum. Paul is also an Alternate Mode Mallet Kat endorser and proudly plays the Panyard Solid Hoop steel pans.

A music instructor for over 20 yrs with the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, teaching Jazz studies, Electronic Music, World Music & percussion, Paul is now semi-retired and founder of Atlanta Event Music and percussionist with Atlanta Jazz Trio, Atlanta Steel Pan and Island Music and 2nd Line Atlanta.
